I love making bowls. They flow so naturally when I’m throwing and next to drinking vessels, bowls are probable the most eminently functional item I make. Bowls are a perfect center piece on a table and they just beg to be used for serving food.
When I first started making what has come to be known as the Ambiguous Bowl it was usually too tall to function very well as a bowl, hence it’s name. Recently I have made them low, round and a perfect shape for serving bowls. At this point they probably should be renamed, but for now I am still calling them Ambiguous Bowls.
